Huge Pc-Problem :(

Post by Noctifer »

I have a huge permformance problem with my laptop ..

About every 15minutes something eats nearly my whole RAM (6gb!) and it comes closer as long as my laptop runs.
This caused a huge lagging passage in Minecraft ( :( )but even in other games like Team Fortress or Starcraft2
Its not the Internet Connection (which is even pretty slow but enought) cause it happens in singleplayer too.
I even checked the processes when its lagging .. nothing.
So I thougth of a virus, I downloaded Malwarebytes to scan my whole hardrive .. nothing.
Then i tryed to increase my performance by deleting some programms and clean up to have space on my hardrive .. doesnt helped.
So now I´m really lost with that.. may someone know what helps? :?
I´m even really pissed off, if Vortrekkker sits next to me and has no laggs with 516mb ram and laughts at my relogs ^^
I even think of a Virus, as last possibility I have to buy a new hardrive :|

Either its fault of your OS or some unwanted software in your pc (virus). I suggest you to download and install all updates. If that wouldnt help i suggest scanning your pc from viruses with some good software, i got one at my table PC which works great and its free, but i dont remember its name (i will post it later). As last chance i would suggest reinstalling your Operating System because that would surely help, important is that there is absolutely no need to buy new hardware and i highly doubt it would help you.

if that doesnt work try "del /s /f /q %temp%" in command prompt (if your a windows user as windows has bad temp file management) and if everything in the world seems to be failing you there is always a clean wipe which i can walk you through if need be (if your windows user then you will need the code from that little sticker they gave you when you bought it, if your mac then your screwed, if linux then just reuse the disk you used to install)

*also you might want to have a look at your process list
