Well I know with essentials it spawns newplayers with stone tools.... I can research into a bit of java can't be that hard .

Dunno if my english is good enough for such a book but we could start to figure out wich infos should be a part of it and wich shouldnt...I think most people wont read it if its to long.

Perhaps writing it in a .txt file then make hpcore write the books from that.

Heinz most of the players only sign up on the board to make a sign in post and then stop using it. Only a handful of players remains active on the board. So why not make it easier for that group and make a maze or one of the other suggestions? We could make membership and activity on the board a requirement for promotion though, so the rank trusted means being involved and being prepared to take your time for the server.
As for the intro book, what should be in it? Our brand new donator is right that is should not be too long, so what is really important?

Well an introducion...what kind of server is it, wich gamemodes are playable, and wich ranks are required, why should they take the time to become a member.
I also would like the rules in it but thats a lot of text.
A list of players wich are often on and able to help them maybe(ops?^^) may be useful.
And last but not least a reference on the board ofc.

the ops are bugged even without their name in a book... perhaps thats reason to put in the names of active normal players indeed. i really like the idea
