IRC (Internet Relay Chat)

IRC is a really nice chat protocol. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irc
We are using the EFnet servers, which is a very global and stable network.
The channel is linked to the HP-Minecraft Survival server.
You can chat from IRC to ingame and backwards.
We have some scripts running, like RSS feed announce or the LOTTERY.
Using a IRC-Client
XChat: http://xchat.org/download/
Server: irc.esper.net or here
Chat Channel: #HPM
Classic Channel: #HPMC (ingame chat relay)
Survival Channel: #HPMS (ingame chat relay)
Commands to join:
Using a WebChat (in your browser)
URL: http://www.hpminecraft.de/chat/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Using the HP-BNC (in your client)
We (Admins, Operators) are using a BNC to connect to the IRC.
Thats a good method to connect to IRC because the HP-BNC (znc) is always connected to IRC,
even when you are logged off. People can leave messages to your HP-BNC account.
A private account requires at least the operator rank.
