Problem with CS gate room teleport

At the top of the CS there is the gate room teleport. For some reason, it seems not to work for me, but it works for the others. I walk through it, back and forth, nothing happens. I crouch through it, as suggested by laserhog, a whitness, and still nothing. So is there any way you could help me with this, or is this just beyond comprehension?

Make sure you are using the official version of the game.

I am sorry for giving you trouble. It seems the problem was caused by the finiteliquid mod. "Make sure you are using the official version of the game." reminded me that i had edited minecraft.jar. I put in a clean copy and it works fine.
