Hey guys

I was wondering what i would need to get upgraded in order to run a game like skyrim without to many problems.

My computer stats are:

Manufacturer: eMachines
Model: EL1830
Processer: Pentium dual core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz
Ram: 4GB (2.50 usable) <- Its at its max unfortunatly
32- bit operating system

Preferably i want only one upgrade, so which would be best?

You can test to see if you can run any game easily here

From the looks of your specs you have a ddr (1) board. For the most part games like skyrim rely on ram which needs at least ddr2. Although if you want minimal upgrades you may be able to make it work if you get a video card of the gods lol. (i mean like 2 gigs built in ram on ddr5 kinda video card)

I got Skyrim on my gaming pc which is somewhat good but somehow skyrim lags a bit there (which really surprised me) so i guess that you mainly need good Graphics card

you probably can't run skyrim assuming that with the specs you provided you are stating you use an on-board chipset, which will never be able to run skyrim. If you only plan on buying 1 thing, get a graphics card, and if you're willing, get a better processor and assuming you don't want to spend too much money on that don't get Intel, get AMD, it's cheaper, just runs a little hotter but that shouldn't be a problem with a good heatsink and fan.
