May be gone a bit.

First off I would like to say "DON'T DO DRUGS!"

I am just going to be straight up honest with this

Anyway, I got charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana a while back (over a year ago actually), and due to financial issues, have had trouble paying the fines in full. So today I have court to analyze the situation. One of two things may happen. I may get more lenience on my fines, or I may get locked up in a jail cell (not for year or anything. Like 90 days.), but hopefully it doesn't come to that. Just wanted to let you guys know of the situation. (Don't think of me as some kind of criminal. I was just some dumb kid) If it does come to that, idk.... It may be a bit before I am on. Court is in two hours. Wish me luck. :(

Good luck I guess. Whatever you did, don't do it again. Either way, hope you've learned your lesson. Don't worry, the government will not pay for you to be imprisoned, since it's very expensive. Worst you'll get is community service (to pay off your fine).

I wish it were that simple. But of the reason I can't afford my fine is due to the large chunk of it that is a community service fee. Unfortunately, where I like they make you PAY to do community service.

Yea, I know I probably won't end up in jail. I just wish i got get out of this and get rid of the mistakes I made when I was younger.

You're in the US so it works differently. Obviously the government will take every chance it gets to take your money, and that's what it's doing. They don't care about drug consumers and will not spend a single penny on them, so they wont imprison you, because that costs money. They're making you pay the equivalent ofc the money you'd make them through community service through a fine, but if you don't pay off that fine, you're gonna be paying it in community service. The money you would earn doing whatever you do goes directly to the government, paying off your fine, and probably a bit more since you didn't pay off your fine.

Davon, you have the words of a true Asian in your signature "I sell everything everyone would ever need. Just gimme money." XD, it's not meant to be offensive, it's true, just look at it from my point of view, almost EVERYTHING we own in America comes from Asia.

Well, I don't know for sure, but it says he is from Singapore. Singapore is one of the biggest business and export cities in Asia. ;)

Well, my court appointed attorney didn't show up today, so I have a continuance to Feb. 10th. More time to build my case I guess.

And what exactly are you supposed to build if you acknowledged you are guilty? How are you supposed to defend yourself? What are you trying to accomplish? Getting rid of the fine? I dunno, but you should work on finding a way to get community service instead of being locked in a cell for 90 days...
