According to Mojang August 1st is the release date for 1.3.

So more than likely we will have to wait for bukkit again. The TMP map last time stunk. I was wondering if I could download the latest snapshot and make a TMP world.

The TMP world would include:

A small market
Nice Spawn
Also instead of waiting for multiple worlds (like last time) we could basicly divide the world up into two sections. Either North and South or East and West. One side of the world would be guest zone, the other member zone where guests could enter, but couldn't break anything. Also members could make Temporary towns to live in.

We will run the TMP-World as always - raw style!
When bukkit is up and our plugin - and others - are running fine, we will switch to the main world/server.

Okay, Can there at least be a safe member area?

At the very least it would be nice to lock our chests. I know its just a temp world but there isnt much point in playing it when your stuff can get stolen. All it takes is one idiot to steal from people

I also remember reading somewhere that the final snapshot will essentially be the entire 1.3 update, and it will be made available a week or so before. So it will give time for bukkit to update and such so we may not have to wait to long after the official update

When all plugin are working after the update, we can run the main world.
The reason for the TMP-World is to have time for plugin or bukkit authors for upgrading...
We are not running the TMP for fun... Not only
Of course we could enable a whitelist for that time.

Whitelist would be great. So only members can join. If a guest tries to join it should tell them that the server has a whitelist until bukkit updates to a stable release.
