Someone ask me, if it's cheating to use the invisible potion.
I said no, since it's a minecraft feature. Now i have noticed that many servers are blocking that.
Like Heinz says, it is a Minecraft feature so i don't see any reason for blocking it.
And on the PVP topic, it is anyway not allowed to pvp on the server, so if some use it for that purpose then they know what to expect.
And also, it is sometimes hilarious to hang around with invibility on to spy on people :p
No just kidding.
it is just fun to see floating pickaxes and armors
When you enter free build, you can drink any potion you want. But if you enter the main world again the potion still works. We should disable THAT! That's the real cheating!
A little imput on this situation:
HPcraft is a roleplay, town building server. What advantage could somebody get from using these potions?
The reason they are considered cheating and banned on some servers is because they are PvP-enabled servers. It's obviously almost impossible to kill somebody with invisibility potions, so using them in a PvP server would be totally unfair, which is why they're banned.
Also, mobs can't see you unless you attack them or hit them while you have invisibility, so on servers based on mob survival, this would also give an unfair advantage. But on HPcraft? I doubt there's anything BAD that could happen. I suggest SPLASH invisibility is disabled, because somebody could go in a town's animal farm and make them invisible. Obviously it would go away, but if the animals run out, nobody has any idea what's going on. Also, you could use them on mobs, and good luck defending against an invisible skeleton or creeper. It would be a /pvp workaround and pretty bad if misused.
In all the ups and downs, I think drinkable ones should be allowed, just not splash ones.
