Relaunching HPcraft?

The title may be a little confusing, but what I felt like discussing is what can you think of to put HPcraft back under some kind of spotlight. By this, I mean that, although there ARE player online, this number is minuscule compared to what it use to be, and it's Christmas break in North America! I've been quite innactive myself, sort of wondering what I can do to bring MYSELF back to this server. It's lovely and all, but there's something missing to it.

All I wanted to say, is what can you think of that could help relaunch HPcraft?
Say anything and everything that comes to mind. Although it might not be possible, it may still lead to some other ideas.

EVERYBODY IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION OR IDEAS AND I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANYBODY CALLING ANYONE'S IDEA STUPID. I would be very dissapointed in all of you if an arguement starts.


As my own personal suggestion, I would suggest adding some kind of game to HPcraft, like a PvP faction area or something. That would be enough to bring me back.


P.S. If you don't agree that our server is missing anything or that the community is big enough as it is, feel free to say so

There are tuns of minecraft server lists, and hpcraft managed to be on the very one I don't know. It would help to advertise a little more, on more sites.

well what i think is missing are the towns we have a lot of them but many epicicty is the most active ( my opinen) we could tey and ask a few trusted member to help with other towns and bring them back to life? That might bring back a few people!
and i do think that there should be a few more player on HPcraft

You keep saying that Hpcraft needs more things. Alike Pvp, Hungergames etc.
But at this moment the Town-system is good enough.

Why not have like a pvp champion. Win from as many people as possible without armour, and lets say an unenchanted iron sword. Every win against a unique player is one point.

Edit: Aurora can have various PvP arenas for both 1 vs 1 as teams, after we're done with the basic infrastructure

This server already has more features then most other servers. Restarting or relaunching just sounds like a bad idea.

The only way to get more people would be to better advertise the server. That's very hard to do tho. Lots of people have signed up but few people stay. A lot of people who play minecraft are kids and its hard to keep them on one server for a long time.

Maybe a daily or weekly rewards program to encourage people to stay?

Even with people not staying, I feel there should be more players than there currently are. I know a server restart is impossible, I wouldn't have hoped for that either. I'm just thinking there should be something that can make more players come. All of us are here because we like this server and this type of server, but it doesn't appeal to everybody and i was wondering if there was any way to merge a different gameplay with our own.

I'll say maybe have some PvP (: Let mining world be a place where it is okay to kill other players, just to increase the danger in mining More advertisements would be recommended also.
