New Currency

I might have a solution for the problem of the current pxl.
Problem: Nobody uses pxlz for transactions anymore.
Reason #1 for problem: Huge inflation makes investment in pxlz an unwise decision
Reason #2 for problem: Many players don't accept pxl as a currency anymore, they want something physical for what they're trading
Possible solution: Right now pxlz are connected to gold (1 pxl being 1/27 gold), but gold obviously lacks the necessary trust to use as a currency. For this problem there are two alternatives.
Option 1, replace gold for something that can be used as currency no matter what, even if no one wants to trade with you you can still redeem your money for stuff. This something would be emerald, for whatever happens to the rest of the players, one can still trade with villagers.
Option 2 would be to replace gold for something that is more likely to be trusted and accepted as a currency. Diamond would be a good replacement, for it has more uses then gold, and is regarded as more valuable.
Why do we need the pxl system to get involved if players can just start using one of the above mentioned options, maybe even have it recognized by some of the towns as legal tender? Because A. diamonds and emeralds are not splittable like a the 27 plxz representing a gold bar are and B. for ease of use; individual diamonds or emeralds can be lost, stolen or disappear into the void, and many players don't usually carry them with them.
Considering all this, a possible course of action could be:
Once the main world is back online, we could make the serversignshop in the basement of the global market where gold can be sold for pxlz two-ways, this way players can get their gold back. This way people can clear their pxl accounts before the reset and get something back, otherwise many players will have mined for nothing.
We can then chose a new item as currency, for instance one of the two options mentioned before, with a new value. We don't have to stick to 27 per item, because that was based on gold and had to be divisible in 9 (3pxl per golden nugget). A decimal number would be more practical, like 1 diamond/emerald having a value of 100 of the new pxlz.
A major pro of this system: no coding has to be done, just replace gold for a better alternative by editing the signships and making announcements.
I hope you guys, and mainly the server staff, will consider this idea.
